Included in the state budget bill for state Fiscal Years 2024-2025, the state extended the Brownfield Remediation Program overseen by the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD). The purpose is to provide nearly $350 million in grant funding for the assessment and remediation of brownfield sites throughout Ohio.
Within each county, a lead entity must be established. In counties where a land bank has been established, the land bank shall be the lead entity.
As the lead entity for Summit County, the Summit County Land Bank (SCLB) has established an online portal for Project Submissions that may be included in future applications to the ODOD for these funds. Submission of projects to this portal does not guarantee the Summit County Land Bank will accept, consider, approve, forward, or submit those projects to ODOD for consideration.
We are working hard to bring much-needed resources to Summit County communities! We welcome and encourage eligible Brownfield Remediation Program project submissions!
